I’m thrilled to share S5-027 Labels Twenty-One with you...

0 Blog Frenzy Project

The trend of canisters is hot in decorating, and I predict quite soon in paper crafting. When I saw S5-027 Labels Twenty-One, I just knew I had to create beautiful labels for the front of these glass canisters.

1 Cut label shape

Die cut/emboss S5-027 Labels Twenty-One die #3 (#1 being the smallest) from kraft-colored cardstock.

2 Ink label shape edge

Ink the edges of the label shape.

3 cut oval

Die cut/emboss S4-110 Classic Ovals LG #2.

4 ink oval edges

Ink oval edges.

5 stamp oval

Stamp the oval with JustRite Stampers Brayton font, using black ink. The clear handle allows you to easily place the image in the center of the oval. Set aside.

6 cut leaves

Die cut/emboss leaves from S4-238 Foliage from green cardstock.

7 ink the edges of leaves

Ink the edges of the leaves.

8 cut leaves

Cut three of the leaves away. Set them aside to use later.

9 adhere leaves with glue dots

Adhere the stamped oval to the label shape. Then use Glue Dots to adhere the leaves. Place a Glue Dot just at the base of each leaf.

10 curl the edges of leaves

The reason for adhering the leaves at the base is for this next step. Curl the edges of the leaves to add dimension.

11 die cut circle for flower

To create the flower, die cut S4-114 Standard Circles LG #4 from red cardstock.

12 cut spiral from circle

Cut a spiral from the circle, starting at the outside edge and cutting inwards.

13 start curling edge from outside

Roll the paper, starting from the outside. Continue rolling until the center of the spiral is reached.

14 glue base of flower

Once the center is reached, apply glue to the base. Press the cardstock downwards and hold for a minute until the glue sets.

15 adhere pearl to flower center

Once the flower dries, adhere a pearl to the center.

16 die cut large red label shape

Die cut/emboss S5-027 Labels Twenty-One from red patterned paper. Adhere behind the original label shape.

0 Blog Frenzy Project CU Labels

Adhere the labels to the front of the canister. (Please note, use a very strong adhesive. And if it is difficult to keep the label attached to the canister, use a couple of rubber bands to hold it in place while the adhesive sets.)

0 Blog Frenzy Project CU Flower

Add the flower and another leaf to the front of the label shape. (A craft Glue Dot was used.)

0 Blog Frenzy Project 2

Here is a second project I created with S5-027 Labels Twenty-One. The gorgeous design of this label shape works beautifully with other Spellbinders die templates. The label shape is not only behind S5-031 Fancy Tags Three, but also has been turned on its side on the bright pink panel.

This is the Spellbinders product I introduced:
