I had a few new products sitting on my desk, Chalkstock and Fabric Tape. Kate jokingly challenged me to use them both on a card, and I thought, hey, why not take her up on the challenge? :) LOVE the results. I was inspired by all the chalkboard items I have been seeing in decorating catalogs, like Pottery Barn. They tuck a chalkboard with a menu onto a wood table with flowers. Casual, and the visual contrast is interesting to me.
I stamped the flowers and the sentiment onto the Chalkstock with Versamagic Cloud White ink. The way the cardstock takes ink is fabulous, its really impressive. It does take a few minutes to dry.
Before adhering the Chalkstock to the card, I applied a strip of the Fabric Tape just above and below where the paper would land. If you haven’t used the Fabric Tape before, you will enjoy how easy it is to use. The tape is paper backed, so you can play around with placement, before committing.
have a wonderful day! thanks for stopping by!
