Flourishes Friday

Happy Friday!! I love to bake and decorate cakes and cupcakes. So when I recently ran across a book called, Hello Cupcake, I HAD to buy it. One of the ideas in the book was to use chocolate to create butterflies. They provided a template, but I thought, hey I have a beautiful set of stamps from Flourishes called, Butterfly Moments. Nothing like getting more mileage out of your stamps...good reason to buy more? :)

Start by stamping your images onto a plain sheet of paper. I would stamp several images on a page when I do this again.

Cover the images with wax paper and place them on a cookie sheet.

Heat chocolate made for melting and trace the stamped image with the chocolate. Tap the tray when you have all the colors you desire, to level the chocolate. Use a toothpick to spread the chocolate, when it is stil wet. Add sprinkles, if you wish.

Give the chocolate butterflies a few minutes to set up before putting on a cupake.
Next week Flourishes is having new release week, there will be peeks starting on Wednesday and a release party on Friday night on SCS. Come back tomorrow for a fun challenge that gives you the chance to win one of the new stamp sets!

thanks for stopping by!!

I love the sprinkles you added to the butterflies! My DS and DDIL made similar chocolate butterflies for their daughter's 5th birthday party. 144 butterflies is a lot of melted chocolate. (see challenge 7)
