I know it's stressful - I was FREAKED OUT when I first moved to Maui (3500+ miles away from my family and the only state I had ever lived in - Oklahoma) 7 years ago, but it was such a wonderful growing experience for myself as an individual and for my relationship with my husband (who was then my fiance and moved with me! LOL). Of course, fortunately for me, my parents followed me here a few years later, but I learned that I COULD survive on my own and I was so much stronger than I ever thought. I think I needed that little experiment in independence!! I'm sure you too will find your family growing stronger through this experience and through the ups and downs. And congrats on the job for hubby!! Try to look at this as one big adventure! :-)Jen Taplerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15746144480381743641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7923013566219322575.post-5638778048774892302010-01-26T15:58:25.484-06:002010-01-26T15:58:25.484-06:00Oh my gosh! It is so encouraging to see the Lord answer prayer in such an affirming way - we saw a similar situation (minus the move) this fall and it was a reminder to me that my husband's hard work for our family blesses us and honours God. We were started applying for jobs. But nothing was happening, especially not for me, since companies were looking for at least 5 years experience, which I didn't have. One day I got a call from a recruiter, they found my resume somewhere, the next day the company called me for an interview (over the phone), 30 min later I was offered the job. 2 weeks later we were down south, 1000 miles away from our previous home. God has great plans! Maybe not exactly what we were planning, but He does know what is best :)Ilina Crousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08577500673912731715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7923013566219322575.post-38925827140491400062010-01-24T17:08:55.977-06:002010-01-24T17:08:55.977-06:00Good luck with your move, Kimberly, and the transi...Good luck with your move, Kimberly, and the transition for you and your family.
