MFT New Product Launch: April Release!

It is time! Time to head to the MFT Stamps online store and pick up the new products from the
April release! If you need to run and shop first, its ok, I will wait here. Or, if you need a little more convincing, wait until you scroll through this post and see all the inspiration I have in store for you! Tonight I am featuring two of the new release products!

First up, Garden Flourish Background. This is a red rubber cling background that is 5 3/4 x 5 3/4." Background stamps are such great investments! You can make any color patterned paper you desire! Plus, the technique possibilities are endless!

Here is a better look at the beautiful detail of the stamped image. Here I have stamped Primitive White cardstock with Lemon Drop Pigment Ink. I truly love the coverage I get from pigment ink when stamping large background images. The edges were inked with Natural ink.

I have layered several pieces and parts on top of my background, so be sure and check out the supply list below. I do want to point out one new set of dies, Die-namics Simple Leaf Flourishes. The set has two dies, each one facing the other direction, so they frame up any image perfectly!

When you are happy with what you have going, continue on! So I kept using the same colors and motifs for this card. Once again, you can see Garden Flourish Background again. If you notice, the circle used here is what came out of the card background above! Strategically cut to get two cards from one stamped image!

I again had fun layering die cut and stamped images. Look closely and you can see that I used an element from Blueprints 24! The small and wide pennant shape. By splitting it in two, I was able to extend it to fill in the space above and below my circle!

I framed a new flower, Die-namics Rolled Blooming Rose with Die-namics Simple Leaf Flourishes. Isn't that a pretty combination?

And because I was having so much fun, I continued playing with Garden Flourish Background. This time I let it be a much stronger focal point.

I began by stamping Romantic Script Background onto Primitive White cardstock with Chocolate Brown Hybrid Ink. (because I knew I would be using lots of ink and wanted the permanency of the hybrid formula.)
Next, I stamped Garden Flourish Background over the top with watermark ink, heat setting it with Clear Embossing Powder.
Finally, I applied Hot Fudge Pigment ink over the top of the entire surface with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. The excess ink was wiped away from the clear embossed surface with a paper towel, to reveal what was underneath. Often I will use much darker ink with this technique, and then all you would see is what is underneath the clear embossed areas.

The sentiment is stamped onto an inner piece cut from another new set of dies called,
Die-namics Sentimental Flourish Frame. It just added to the dark and more antique feel of this card. Cool part is, the framed inner part and the flourish outer part are two separate pieces! Lots of layering options there!

And my second product feature of the night is, Die-namics Wheelbarrow! How adorable is that?!? There are so many ways to use this cute 3D wheelbarrow! Candy holder, name/place marker for a party, and so much more!

For mine, I added some fun details that would make it perfect for a party setting!  I rested the Gnome from You Gnome Me, next to the wheelbarrow because wouldn't this make darling party decor?! I think I need to have a party, for no reason, just to use these!

I added a garden sign using the inside portion of Die-namics Sentimental Flourish Frame.

Along the edges of the inside of the wheelbarrow, I added Sour Apple cardstock cut with Grassy Edges. Fun touch! How cute would it be to add flowers in there? Or seed packets? See what I mean? Creative fun!

Be sure and visit the MFT Blog for details, info, chances to win, and to be linked up to the rest of the fabulous team!

thanks for stopping by all week!
