How fun was yesterday!? We continue the Shaker Card fun today with flat shaker cards. Yesterday we talked about shaker cards having a well, or space, to put fun doodads, but they don't always have to be that way! Check out the fantastic video tutorial from Stephanie Klauk over on the
MFT Stamps Blog today!
My take on the flat shaker card involves no sewing. (you can sew together two pieces of whatever medium to create a pocket for doodads, to keep it flat) I hate sewing. That's not true, I love the look of sewing and all things sewn, I just do not possess the skills to sew. I am terrible at it. It makes me pretty happy when I can fake the look with paper crafting products!
I cut vellum with Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX. (Whoop!) I created a front and back (2 pieces) for a pocket of sorts. I filled the bottom piece with all sorts of sequins and then sealed them inside by adhering another rectangle on the top.
I finished the card off with cute sentiments and an ice cream cone. Be sure to check out the supply list below for direct links to all of the product I used today.

Cool card Kim. Love the shaker part. The ice cream is so SWEET!
I think if you didn't glue down your "package" of sequins and just used a glue dot....this would make a fabulous card for crafty friends! (Thank you, birthday etc!) :D TFS so cute!
