Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.
Let the cuteness overload begin! When I saw Cute Critters, the latest from Miss Tiina, I squealed with delight! How could you not love these little guys?
It gets better! There is a coordinating die set! Yay for Die-namics Cute Critters! After I cut the raccoon from Sweet Tooth cardstock, I stamped him with Hybrid Black Licorice ink. He is colored with color pencil.
The background is Woodgrain Background stamped with Steel Blue ink on Steel Blue cardstock. I split up the cardstock into strips and distressed the edges to make it look more wood pallet-like.
The Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX was die cut from Pink Lemonade cardstock and was stamped with Pink Lemonade ink using Fine Check Background. The top was finished off with a small button and hemp cord.
And now for the video tutorial. Good thing this card is cute, because the video, well, its not. Its pretty real. Mistakes and a look at how badly I need to call my hair dresser and make an appointment. :)
Anyways, I am not the greatest at making backgrounds for my stamped images. I got to thinking about stencils, and inking, and then I thought, hey, I have Die-namics Grassy Edges and I can make this work! Watch the video to see how you can create your own stencil using die cut cardstock! This creates a lot of possibilities! Not just for creating a background, but think of all the stencils you could create!!

Just a little more cute. A squirrel!
Cute Critters and Die-namics Cute Critters also has a stump. It works perfectly with all the critters. I colored it with pencil, layering browns and grey browns. Happy with it.
The background was stamped with the hearts and acorn images in Cute Critters. I used Chocolate Brown ink on Kraft cardstock. The final panel is Kraft cardstock die cut with Die-namics Pinking Edge Rectangles STAX that was stamped with Burlap Background. Whew! So much fun!
My next post will be the signal that it is time to shop! In the meantime, head over to the MFT Blog for any last minute details and videos to help you fill that cart! :)

Oh, how I love the addition of that stump! What a gorgeous job you did coloring it!
Wow, beautiful cards, but the first card is my favorite. Love the background stamp and the colors together. Wow!
Awesome cards...love both of them. Thank you so much for the video!

Oh crap, I was hoping there wasn't more cuteness, my poor Visa! Darling cards!
Oh my goodness! Pure cuteness, I might need these critters now!
Very cute cards! Thanks for the video!
Love the background stamps you used.
The wood planks behind the raccoon are perfect and the whole card is creatively done. The second card, I love the browns you used and the sentiment is so perfect. The stump-sittin' squirrel is so cute. Great job.
Yes...cuteness overload...but they are both just Darling! Love the color combos and all the details you added.
Seeing your cards makes we want that stamp set so much! These are awesome!
