Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.
So this fox happened. Could anything be cuter? Yes, actually, it could, just wait until you see the rest of Cute Critters! And the stamp set has coordinating dies! Die-namics Cute Critters is soon to be available in the September release! Now in all honestly, I have been looking for a reason to "have" to use these cuties, and a fun background seemed like the perfect place to set one of them!
He was die cut from Sweet Tooth cardstock with Die-namics Cute Critters. Then stamped with Hybrid Black Licorice ink. He is colored with color pencil and blender pencil. The flowers are also from the stamp set, Cute Critters, but I cut those out by hand.
And now, the background, the place where this card started. This release I have been talking about embossing with stencils, so I thought I would do that technique again, and make a video tutorial. Stencil Scattered Bars is pretty cool and trendy. I cannot wait to use this one more! I used it to emboss Primitive White cardstock. But I took it one step further and also inked through the stencil, after it was embossed.
Here's the short and sweet video tutorial:
