MFT New Product Launch-creating different looks with the same stamp

Its time! The wait is over! The September release products from MFT Stamps are now available in the store! If you are still trying to decide what to purchase, hop along with the team, and if you already know, stop on back for inspiration while you wait for your order to arrive!

Tonight I am highlighting the stamp set Diamonds & Dots Borders. This is a pretty great set, one that will stay in the front of my stamp basket and get used often. What I love about border stamps is all the ways that you can use them. Take a look at these two cards and how I used these versatile images.

The first thing you notice on this card is the Whip Cream cardstock and Brick Red ink stamped panel. I used the argyle image as a real focal point by stamping it once and in a bold color.

On the Nightshift Blue cardstock base, I added the dots image. By stamping with Nightshift Blue ink, I made a subtle pattern that adds texture. Its like creating your own patterned paper. This image looks amazing stamped tone-on-tone or stamped in Sweet Tooth ink on any color cardstock.

You can see that my pattern is basically seamless, not a miss. The clear stamp makes it easy to accomplish. Stamp your first row of dots. Re-ink the image and stamp your second row by lining up the bottom dot you previously stamped with the top dot of the stamp you are waiting to push down. Check that both ends of the image are lined up before placing onto your cardstock. It reads complicated, but its easy.

To finish off the card, I added the Free with $60 purchase this month, Die-namics Many Thanks. It was cut from metallic gold paper, along with leaves from Falling Leaves. The leaves I simply tucked into the cardstock.

This card was inspired by my favorite pair of socks. No joke. When I first saw Diamonds & Dots Borders I immediately thought of my socks. There's a new place for inspiration. :)

I stamped the argyle image with watermark ink onto my Steel Grey cardstock panel and heat embossed with a magenta powder. Then I continued the pattern with Black Licorice Ink. Lining up the borders for this image is much the same as the dots border, touch the tops and bottoms of the diamonds

I die cut Die-namics Many Thanks from Jellybean Green cardstock and foam mounted it for added depth and contrast.

So remember some the ways that you can use your border stamps:
1. Create a focal point with bold stamping.
2. Create a subtle pattern with tone-on-tone stamping.
3. Emboss the borders for texture.
4. Create patterned paper by stamping the images in color.

Have fun shopping and thanks for stopping by!
