changes, always changes

Betsy Veldman. The name makes people instantly think of gorgeous creations full of beautiful color and ridiculous amounts of creativity. She has long been a huge inspiration to me, a real paper crafting hero. Imagine my starstruck-self knowing that I would get to not only meet her, but work with her as a Go-to-Gal! Meeting her was amazing, and working with her even better. But you know the best part? She.is.awesome. She is quiet, sweet, hilariously funny, giving, and just a wonderful person to spend time with. You can imagine my sadness when she told us the news this week. While I will miss having her around, I am grateful to know that her paper crafting inspiration will continue, just in a new way. I anxiously await to see what paths she will follow next because I know it will be phenomenal. And will probably cost me money. :)

Betsy, thank you for being wonderful. I wish you all the very bestest. Iowa girls always stick together. :)

For all the details, head over to the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Plugged In blog.

We all made cards for Betsy today, stop on over and see:

My card started with the sentiment from Winnie and Walter-could those words have been more perfect?!?! I don't think so. I stamped them with watermark ink onto die cut vellum and heat embossed with gold powder.

The background is also Winnie and Walter. The set is called Scenery; V is for cheVron. So many ways to stamp this set! I cannot wait to play even more!

The flower is die cut tissue from Hazel & Ruby. Eight layers were stack up and crumpled. I secured all the layers together with a brad from Carta Bella.

thanks for stopping by!

Yes indeed we Iowa girls have to stick together. ;) What a lovely card for a lovely lady (although I've never met Betsy IRL.) Love the black + white!

Kimberly, you are so sweet. I have loved getting to know you better over the last two years. It has been MY pleasure. This is all feeling just a little too real today, and you guys are making me all sniffley. Keep on doing what you're doing...you're a wonderful designer and teacher...I see how you come to life when you can teach someone something and that's an amazing gift. Use it to its fullest! Stay in touch and I know we'll be seeing more of each other in the future. Take care!
