Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.
My first project today uses the latest from Lisa Johnson, Die-namics Easter Bunny. Who can resist a felt Easter bunny? With a cotton tail? On burlap? Not me. Sweet Tooth felt die cuts beautifully and made this bunny a breeze to add to my burlap bag. Jellybean Green felt was also die cut using Die-namics Tall Grassy Edge. The whole thing just makes me smile.
And so do the treats! I found the idea for these carrots on Pinterest. They are pretzel rods dipped in melted chocolate. The dirt? Crushed Oreo cookies! They have been a big hit in this house. Someone was begging to eat them immediately.
For my second project today, a chocolate Easter bunny. What more could you ask for? Except maybe two chocolate Easter bunnies. :) This time I am using some of the stamps from Easter Bunny. So clever how the stamps and Die-namics work together! The Happy Easter sentiment was stamped onto Fishtail Flags Layered STAX.
How fun is the flocked Easter bunny? Its very easy to make using a new product in the MFT Store, check out the tutorial below!
To make the flocked Easter bunny, I used Chocolate Brown cardstock and these fabulous Adhesive Sheets. So happy that the MFT Store now carries these!
The Adhesive Sheets measure 4x6 inches and can turn any sheet of paper into an adhesive-backed piece of paper! How great is that?
Trim your cardstock to the size desired. Peel the yellow backing up, revealing the adhesive on a white backing. Place the cardstock down. (If you were using patterned paper, place the side you want sticky down.)
Replace the yellow backing over the cardstock and rub gently. Trim the cardstock away from the Adhesive Sheet.
The white backing is now covering the adhesive.
Then using the bunny image from Die-namics Easter Bunny, I die cut my new adhesive-backed cardstock.
Once I removed the white backing, I was able to apply flock. I generously poured the flock and then gently rubbed the flock into the adhesive. Imagine all you can add to your images! Flock, glitter, and so much more!
One last detail on this card to point out, the background. I wanted something rustic and as I looked at my Die-namics, I saw this wood-looking strip in Blueprints 13. I knew I could ink the edges up and add great color! The nails were simply drawn in by hand with a pen. I will be using this trick again!
thanks for stopping by!
