2 ways to make rainbows

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, February 2 at 9 pm Central.

I love rainbows! I always have. Even when I was a little girl, my first bedroom was all rainbows and hearts. Together. Rainbow-colored hearts. It made me very happy. So when I saw Rainbows of Happiness and Die-namics Color the Rainbow, my heart leapt!

Using dye inks, water, and an acrylic block, I was able to create this gorgeous rainbow background. This card is part of the FREE release class from MFT Stamps! Every month there is a new class!

What this means is, not only do you get access to a FREE printable PDF file, with detailed instructions and supply lists, you also have access to video tutorials, showing how to create the cards! All for FREE! This class will go live with the release. Just look at the gorgeous projects!

My second card today, continues to make rainbows, this time using thin and glittery tape!

The pack of Glitter Decorative Tape includes 10 colors of tape, all sparkly! After cutting a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock with Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX, I applied the tape directly to the paper, over the corner. The ends were wrapped around the back of the panel.

This sentiment from Rainbows of Happiness was the perfect match and fit for the panel. The word "color" was masked off. The image was inked with Hybrid Black Licorice ink and stamped. I cleaned the stamp thoroughly then colored the word "color" with several different distress markers, allowing them to blend into one another. Then, using the already stamped words as a guide, I stamped the word color. Pretty cool effect!

I finished the panel off with clouds cut with Die-namics Lucky. The background is the new image, Mini Hexagon Background.

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!

thanks for stopping by!
