treats for your loves: MFT Stamps Release Countdown

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, January 5th, at 9 pm Central.

When I saw the stamp set, Love You More, and the new paper pad, Painted Prints Smitten Paper Pack,  I immediately knew that I HAD to create paper fortune cookies. I have made these before, long ago with my students in my elementary classrooms for New Years, and then again waaaaaay back in 2008 on this post here. How cute are these?!

These are crazy easy to make. And the adorable factor is over the top.

Tonight, not only with there be a FREE download of the supply and instructions for this project, but also a video tutorial! The Release Class is such a great resource from MFT Stamps. If you have missed any of the other FREE Release Classes, check them out on the MFT Stamps Blog under the category, Education Resources--PDF Classes.

Cheeky Monkey and the coordinating Die-namics Cheeky Monkey are so cute. Its a set entirely of monkeys and cute sentiments. When I saw the images, I immediately thought of the banana candies and knew I needed to make a few treat holders. Perfect for a couple of special people at school or in the neighborhood!

I stamped this cutie with Hybrid Black Licorice ink on Sweet Tooth card stock. He is colored with color pencil and finished with my favorite blending pencil. Then I cut him out with Die-namics Cheeky Monkey. I love the new open dies, so I can line up my images perfectly by holding the die in place with a little piece of low-tack tape.

I placed the monkey on a tag cut using Die-namics Tag Builders Blueprints 5. I cut the yellow striped tag from Painted Prints Citrus Paper Pack. Then I cut the tag with the open window from Sweet Tooth card stock. Layering these together made an awesome tag!

I added another thin tag from Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints 5 to the top. It held the sentiments from Cheeky Monkey fabulously! The small red hearts are cut from the same set.

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!

thanks for stopping by!

The darling fortune cookies were sure a surprise, and though I've seen the monkeys the last couple days what you did with them is so thoughtful
