copper thanks; Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge

I am thrilled to be joining the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge this month! Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog

The best part about this challenge is, you get to play along! A random challenge participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store. To be eligible, you must must use Essentials by Ellen products and you must use the photo badge as inspiration.

The colors of the challenge photo (above) totally inspired me to get creating! I made a huge list of everything I noticed in the photos, from colors to texture, to even design! Its amazing how much a photo can get your creativity flowing!

To create the background, I trimmed a piece of cherry wood veneer paper. I added two colors of Distress Stains in blues directly to the paper. Two coats seemed to cover better. In a couple of places, I even left a puddle of the stain for more depth.

The flowers are Essentials by Ellen Wild Garden Designer Dies, designed by the fantastic Julie Ebersole! They are so pretty! I cut them from MFT Stamps Tropical Teal card stock and also Sweet Tooth card stock. Watermark ink was applied to the white images and then covered in copper embossing powder. Each image was heat embossed twice to add more coverage. The flowers and leaves were arranged around a copper heat embossed sentiment. Fancy Thanks is a set of stamps from Essentials by Ellen and Julie Ebersole also! A few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finished off my card. For a direct link to all the supplies used, please use the list at the bottom of this post.

I hope that you are as inspired as I was! To enter this challenge, visit the CLASSroom blog and enter your project using the InLinkz link up at the end of the post. You have until December 1 to enter! Cannot wait to see how you are inspired!

thanks for stopping by!
