you are soda-lightful: MFT Stamps September Release Countdown

Each day we get a little bit close to all the fantastic stamps, dies, stencils and more from MFT stamps being available in the online store! Which sets are on your must-have list?

Laina Lamb hits it out of the park again with some fantastic stamps and dies that we are featuring today. Her attention to detail is unreal. As I come up with ideas while creating, she has covered all the bases and never leaves me wishing I had something else included.

I started by cutting Steel Grey card stock with Die-namics Bottlecaps. The base of the bottle caps has incredible detail; designs around the edges, and an embossed center which helps you line up the centers perfectly! Both the bottoms and tops come in this set. They are also 5 to a plate, meaning you get 5 of each in one pass through your manual die cutting machine! That brilliance helps make backgrounds like the one I created easy to accomplish! The centers were cut from various card stocks (to re-create this look, check the supply list at the end of my post). I also cut centers from Primitive White card stock, so that I could stamp the insides with the same ink colors using Soda Pop. Both looks add some great variety!

To lay the images out somewhat evenly, I adhered the four corner bottle caps first, then filled in the rest as I continued along.

The punny sentiment, which I adore, is from Soda Pop. I masked off the top two words and inked the lower words in Tangy Orange. Deeper than the Orange Fizz I used on the bottle caps. I did this to make it stand out more. Once I stamped the words, I cleaned my stamp. Then I masked the opposite way. Clear stamps make it so easy to line up the images like this! Give it a try sometime to add depth to your sentiments!

For the final touch, I added a die cut bottle from Die-namics Soda Pop. It comes with parts for layering, like the bottle wrapper and straw. So much attention to detail and coordination!! Stay tuned for more projects with this set as I will be featuring this set on New Product Launch night!

And one last thing to note, on every inch of this card, from the centers of the bottle caps to the edges of the card base to the bottle, Natural Ink was added. I wanted to help create a vintage vibe and that made it easy!
