99 red ballons; MFT July Release Countdown

After I made this card, I couldn't that 99 Red Balloons song out of my head! I used the solid balloon images from Birthday Wishes & Balloons to create a fun and vivid focal point on my card.

I stamped the balloons with Ripe Raspberry Pigment Ink and then heat embossed them with clear powder

I did the same thing for the sentiment from Birthday Wishes & Balloons, but used white embossing powder so the sentiment would pop a little more. Because I made all the elements of my card a resist, I was able to put a watercolor wash over the entire card front. I created it with Summer Splash ink and water. In real life this card makes it look as if everything is floating in a blue sky with clouds.

Visit the MFT Stamps Blog for all the news, updates, details, and all of that wonderful stuff! I am on vacation for awhile, so things will be short and sweet around here. We cannot wait to escape to some peace and quiet and no schedule!

thanks for stopping by!

Hi Kimberly. I hated that 99 Balloons song, which, of course, I will have in my head all night long now. I love your work and have been hanging out here a bit since you started the Monday vids to give Amy and break and have learned a lot from you. Keep up the good work and stoping by here is always a pleasure for me.

I love your card, the color of balloons is one of my favorites and clear embossing them makes them jump off the page at you. Love the water color backdrop and always love the way it brings out the embossed sentiment.
