miss you; MFT Stamps June Release Countdown

Wow! What a start to the release yesterday, huh? Amazing projects from the design team with some amazing new products!

Today I am going for soft, shabby, and antique, with that look being inspired by this darling bunny image from Birdie Brown and her latest set, Adventure Is Calling. Don't you just want to pick that bunny up and snuggle it?! I stamped the bunny with Natural Hybrid ink onto watercolor paper. The watercolor paper had been die cut with new Die-namics Zig Zag Stitched Oval STAX. Then using Distress Markers and water, I colored the image.

The background is another new image, Lace Background. I originally stamped it with Natural Ink onto Primitive White cardstock, but it was too intense for my card. Thinking of how I could tone it done, I wondered what would happen if I used White Embossing Powder over the top. Now with regular dye-based inks, like the one I used, powder does not stick well. This time that "problem" worked in my favor. I was able to tone down the intensity of the ink color and contribute to the shabby look I was desiring.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Primitive White cardstock cut with Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX. I stamped the sentiment from Adventure Is Calling in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. And for a little more texture, I embossed the banner with Stencil Polka Dot.

The final shabby touch for my card is these adorable die cut buttons. Die-namics Vintage Buttons contains 6 different size and styled buttons. Each one has gorgeous detailing. To bring out the detailing for this card, I highlighted the embossed lines with a color pencil. Pretty fun trick, huh?

Visit the MFT Stamps Blog for all the details, including chances to win! Plus, there is a ton of great information over there! Including images of all the rest of the products being shown today!

thanks for stopping by!
