gnomes, superheros, and canvases, oh my! MFT Release Countdown

Oh boy! Today is full of lots of projects and lots of fun! I am so excited about all the products in this release, that my creativity is out of control! Too many ideas! Too little time!

Gnomes! Garden gnomes! Could he be any cuter? I think not! Birdie Brown is bringing us the stamp set, You Gnome Me, and of course there are coordinating dies, Die-namics You Gnome Me!

With images this cute, you really don't need to add much, they make a statement on their own. Mr. Gnome and the mushroom are colored with color pencil. For the background, I stamped grass from Sunflower Sweetheart in Sour Apple and Green Room inks. Then using a Mini Inking Tool, I applied a pass or two of Sour Apple ink underneath the grass, to soften the edges. Above the grass, I used the Mini Inking Tool to apply Sno Cone ink. I used a lighter blue ink so that I could build up layers and have more control over my ink location.

The sentiment from You Gnome Me is perfectly sweet and punny.
The whole scene is on Sweet Tooth cardstock that was cut with Die-namics Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX. Its a nice finish to add to what would have been a plain and boring panel of white cardstock.

Clapping my hands and jumping for joy over this new release, or better to say addition,
to You're Super from Birdie Brown! A boy! For this boy momma, this stamp set, Super Boy, is going to get me a ton of mileage with the original set!

From Sweet Tooth cardstock, I cut Die-namics Super Boy. He is stamped in Hybrid Black Licorice ink and colored with color pencil.

The Wild Cherry card base was stamped with the "pow" shape image from You're Super in Wild Cherry Ink. The Sweet Tooth cardstock panel was inked with Lemon Drop ink applied through Stencil Sun Ray.

The sentiment from Super Boy was stamped with After Midnight ink, to coordinate with the panel of After Midnight cardstock behind the main panel. The solid stars are also from the set. To add a little more detail, I placed a dot of red marker in the center of each Lemon Drop star.

And now a departure from amazing images. This mini canvas (measuring 4"x4") was made using the latest stencil, Stencil Tiny Triangles

I placed the stencil on my canvas and applied embossing paste through the stencil. Once the paste dried, I painted on various triangles with Hybrid Inks refills. See the color list in the supplies below.

To not take away from the cool background, I stamped a sentiment from Totally Happy with Hybrid Steel Grey ink onto a strip of vellum. I secured the ends of each side of the strip with glue after I wrapped the vellum around the canvas' edges.

That is a ton of fun my friends! Wait until you see what the rest of the team has created! Each project makes me sigh with happiness! I am so lucky to be a part of team like this! Visit the MFT Blog to be linked up to all the designers and to see videos about the new product!

thanks for stopping by!
