MFT Stamps March Release Rewind

Welcome back to one last peek at the March release products from MFT Stamps! As I get creating each month, I have lots of ideas, but not always the time to create them all. This post lets me share more looks at the fantastic new products. And this month, wow! There was a lot to choose from!

I am pretty excited about the way this card turned out! Lisa Johnson's new stamps, Circle Scribble Flowers, is a set I will not be putting down anytime soon! There are just so many possibilities with these stamps!

When I envisioned a dark background with flowers popping off, I had no idea if it would work, but with MFT's new pigment inks, it did! I started by stamping a large circle from Circle Scribble Flowers with Whip Cream Pigment ink onto After Midnight cardstock. Then I stamped a smaller circle with Peach Bellini Pigment ink. The scribbles were in Persimmon Pigment ink. the leaves in Limelight Pigment ink and Gumdrop Green Pigment ink. The way the ink sits on the paper is fantastic. Keep in mind that these inks take time to dry, so heat set them once you are finished stamping, or set the project aside and allow it to dry. But the time is totally worth it!

I added a small strip of gold metallic paper under the sentiment from Totally Happy to balance the dots I made on the background with my gold Sharpie marker.

And for a card that is completely opposite of the previous...a bright and happy card!

The small star border in the stamp set, Totally Happy, caught my eye right away! I wanted to stamp it down the entire front of a card, in rainbow colors, of course! (Yes, I have a thing for rainbow colors...have I shared my childhood bedroom with you yet? Remind me to share that sometime!)

I mixed the word happy from Die-namics Trio of Happy (this month's free with $60 purchase item) with part of a sentiment from Totally Happy. I cut the largest word happy from Blu Raspberry cardstock and layered four words together. The solid look from layering die cut words is just my favorite!

Visit the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has up their sleeves! Not to mention read about all the fun we have been having with sharing our pets! MFT has been giving away amazing prizes AND donating to some pretty special pet groups! Check it out!

thanks for stopping by!

Oh yeah, it worked amazingly well to stamp on the dark background. You nailed it.
