I am so happy about getting to share the fabulous new stamps and Die-namics from Laina Lamb called, Donuts and Sprinkles, and Die-namics Donuts! These two products are so well designed and cute! Lots of fun options, so let's get started!
My projects tonight were my justification for a donut and donut hole run today. I mean, really, can you make projects about donuts without donuts? No. No, you cannot! :)
To start with, I cut a tag from Peach Bellini cardstock using Die-namics Traditional Tags STAX. I stamped it with Polka Dot Background in Peach Bellini ink. Another tag was cut from Sno Cone cardstock using Die-namics Stitched Traditional Tag STAX.
On the Sno Cone tag, I stamped the small donut images from Donuts and Sprinkles. There are three images in the set, a base, the frosting, and sprinkles. I stamped the base of the donut in Sno Cone ink, then the frosting in Blu Raspberry, and finally the sprinkles in Tropical Teal. I layered the colors that way so each part would show up as I built the images.
This is such a cute way to say thank you!
Here is a closer look at the genius that is Die-namics Donuts. The Die-namic on the left creates the base of the donut. The middle Die-namic makes frosting.
To create the sprinkles, I cut another frosting layer and then placed the sprinkle Die-namic onto the piece. It is easy to line up! The edges of the sprinkle Die-namic point outwards to fit in the bumps of the frosting Die-namic! Send it through your manual die cutting machine and look! How cool is that!?!
Here is the pieces all layered together. Base, frosting layer 1, frosting layer 2
cut with the Sprinkle Die-namic.
I placed the donut on a piece of Sweet Tooth cardstock that was cut with Die-namics Traditional Tags STAX. I stamped the tag with Confetti Background with Peach Bellini ink. The Sno Cone panel on the card base was ink with Sno Cone ink through Stencil Harlequin.
