MFT Release Countdown: Stick Together

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

When I make cards, something usually inspires my starting point. It might be a pattern, or an image, or even a technique, but this release, it seems to be all about the sentiment. Like this one from You've Got Mail. It immediately sparked the idea of grabbing the tape roll image from Office Space

From there, I pondered how to add more "tape" to the card. First I thought washi, but then I thought, no, tape, like scotch tape...and then the vellum idea hit! I cut Vellum with Die-namics Washi Tape and adhered it to my Sour Apple cardstock card base. (I crinkled the ends to add more realism.)

The tape roll and sentiment were stamped onto a journaling card created with Die-namics Insert It 3x4 Insert that was stamped with Writing Tablet Background

For this card, I started with this month's Free with $60 purchase product, Die-namics You've Got Mail. It creates this darling envelope. So many uses for this one!

After I cut the Primitive White cardstock with Die-namics You've Got Mail, I inked the edges with Natural ink. Before adhering the sides together, I tucked a heart inside. The heart is Electric Red cardstock cut with Die-namics Heart STAX. All the hearts are from that set.

On the Kraft cardstock panel, I stamped the air mail border (loooove!) and the rush to sender sentiment also from You've Got Mail

We are getting closer and closer to release night! Head on over to the MFT Blog and find out about all the fab products being shown today. And get times for joining us at Splitcoast Stampers for the always fun chat before the shopping! :)

thanks for stopping by!

Kimberly! So CUTE! I'll be CASEing that tape card =] Hmmm. I might use an actual tape dispenser to cut the ends of the vellum strips! ... off to give that a try!! Thanks so much for inspiring me to try something new!

These are both awesome but the 'scotch' tape on the first one is genius!!
