MFT July Release Countdown

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

Die-namics Bring on the Cake is just so stinking cute! Being a girl who loves baking and loves decorating cakes, this set is perfection! Why? Because it allows you to layer and add whatever details you desire for your cake!

I started by die cutting the three cake layers from Primitive White cardstock. I also cut them from Bubblegum cardstock. Using gold foil cardstock, I die cut the frosting ribbons. They were adhered to the coordinating pink layers of cake. I used scissors to trim away the lower portion of the pink cake layer. Each of the Primitive White layers were stamped in Bubblegum ink with Pin Stripe Background. Each part was adhered together.

And you can't have a beautiful cake and not have a place to set it! I think I *might* be even more addicted to cake stands than baking supplies! (I currently have 5...) Look at the detail of this cake stand die! I added a bit of Natural ink to give it a distressed touch. The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Delicious Birthday. I adore that font! It looks like frosting!

A quick mention of the background. I embossed-only a new die. Die-namics Pinking Edge Circle STAX is going to be a great addition to your circle collection!

This card happened because I was a careful die cutter. When I cut the layers of cake for my first card, I carefully placed each layer in a place that would allow me to use the "scrap" cardstock I had left over! Man, I love that!

Behind the layers of cake, I placed a piece of Sno Cone cardstock that had been stamped with Sno Cone ink using Happy Birthday Background. Perfect.

Then, to coordinate with the darling sentiment, I added layers of "frosting" in Blu Raspberry cardstock. Another awesome layer to add to your die cut cakes!

One final touch, a small candle, also included in Die-namics Bring on the Cake. The base is Sour Apple and the flame is Orange Fizz cardstock.

Later, during the New Product Launch, I will be sharing more projects with you using the stamps! I cannot wait to create more! Head to the MFT Blog to see all the, forgive my pun, delicious parts of this set of dies!

thanks for stopping by!
