MFT July Release Countdown: tags and balloons

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

Who loves the Blueprints series of Die-namics? I know I do. Guess what? Its going to get even better! Die-namics TAG BUILDER Blueprints 1! Yes, you read that correctly, tag builders! Tags are awesome. Quick and easy, and this makes it even more so. And they are a great way to add a handmade touch to a gift! Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints 1 will also come with a set of sketches, which you can find here: Sketches

I used the sketches to create this set of tags, all birthday themed, and all perfect for anyone!

The tag base was die cut from Kraft cardstock and stamped with Wood Plank Background with Kraft ink.

All of my other pieces and parts stayed with the same color theme. I stamped several pieces of cardstock with the new Diagonal Stripe Background and Happy Birthday Background, and Star Background.

Look at those great hole reinforcers too! They are part of Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints 1 also. It was fun to be able to add sentiments from the Birthday Sentiments stamp set.

And my second project today, a card with some more awesome products! Die-namics Balloon STAX is going to be the only set of balloon dies you will ever need. Seriously. I die cut them from a post-it note and placed them onto a piece of Primitive White cardstock. I stamped Happy Birthday Background over the top of the masks with Steel Grey ink.

Then I watered down Orange Fizz ink with water and used a paint brush to paint in my balloons. I kept layering the color and got some cool effects.

The sentiment was stamped onto Translucent Vellum (yes, I said vellum!) and Hybrid Black Licorice ink. (which was, of course, heat set)

The left edge is Orange Fizz cardstock stamped with Diagonal Stripe Background in Orange Fizz ink. I never get sick of creating that tone-on-tone look. Its like I have unlimited patterned paper at my fingertips!

I added some twine for balloon strings. I used a small ink applicator to add Hybrid Lemon Drop ink to the twine to add color.

As you read this we are somewhere in the middle of the wilderness in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota. Probably sun burnt and mosquito bitten and happy as clams! Head over to the MFT Blog for all the details about the products being released today!

thanks for stopping by!
