MFT July Release Countdown; happy happy happy

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

Happy is definitely what this month is all about! And I bet you are all happy that my next post will be your signal to go and shop!

I used a new-to-me color palette for this card. Looking at my paper stash, I noticed the colors Sour Apple, Spearmint, and Nightshift Blue next to each other. They looked pretty nice, so I thought I would give it a shot.

I started by stamping the word happy from Happy Everything in Sour Apple ink. Without reinking, I stamped the word again, just above it. I repeated the process with Spearmint Ink, going up and Nightshift Blue ink going down.

I stamped the sentiment, everything, from the stamp set, Happy Everything. It is on a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX image that has been die cut from Smooth White cardstock. Oh, and I used Sour Apple ink.

Gold foil paper was die cut with Die-namics Sequins to add a finishing touch.

For this card, I die cut Die-namics Happy from Lemon Drop cardstock, after it had been stamped with Happy Birthday Background and coordinating ink. (Be sure to save the drop outs to fill in your letters, like the p's. I'm just sayin.' From experience.)

The word birthday from Happy Everything was stamped on Sour Apple ink underneath.

The background, which I think is the most fun part of this card, was created with Confetti Background. Such a clever stamp. (and trendy!) I stamped the image repeatedly with several colors of ink. And I was not careful about where I stamped, as I wanted the images to be random.

Head to the MFT Blog and see what is happening today! Get all the details for the release!

thanks for stopping by!
