the MFT June Release Countdown begins!

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

Welcome to another release countdown! The month of June is full of love and happiness and a lot of fun products! Today's card has a ton of fun elements, so read on and find out about all the beautiful ways to use the new release products.

I started my card with the background and stamped Romantic Script Background with Natural Ink onto my Primitive White cardstock base. Wanting to leave a more worn and faded look behind after I stamped, I applied ink randomly to the rubber and stamped onto my cardstock without adding much pressure. Its a more natural look. I was pretty happy with how it turned out and will be using that technique again!

The watercolor look was created with my old stand-by, faux-watercolor look with MFT standard inks. I pressed Wild Cherry, Orange Fizz, and Insulation Pink into my craft mat, spritzed with water, and applied it with a paint brush.

This beautiful sentiment is from Together Forever. Its a new sentiment set from Lisa Johnson, so you know it has the perfect and heartfelt words you need for your engagement, wedding, and anniversary cards. On my card, I stamped it with Electric Red ink onto a piece of cardstock die cut with the new Die-namics Pierced Fishtail STAX. I love all the new Pierced Die-namics, this one included, as their edge adds an extra special touch to your die cut image. Oh, and I should mention, I did ink all the edges with Natural Ink. Its my go-to for distress inking!

And one final touch--the stitched red heart. It was created with Die-namics Peek-A-Boo Heart Frames. How crazy cool are these?!?! Before I adhered my pennant to the card, I die cut Die-namics Peek-A-Boo Heart Frames on the right edge of it. This set of Die-namics is unique, as it does NOT cut out the image, but leaves behind holes that create the image! I used my holes to stitch through, but wait until later in the week and see what else you can do!

Enjoy checking out what the rest of the team has for you. Get linked up at the MFT Blog. Annnnd, we have a special guest designer near and dear to my heart, head over and find out who she is! :)

thanks for stopping by!
