every day with you is a picnic

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

Birdie Brown is at it again! Oh, the cuteness. I know, I say that every month, but its true! Every Day Is a Picnic features another cutie patootie perfect for coloring!

Not being good at creating backgrounds for my people, I love all the building pieces that Every Day Is a Picnic has! See the cute grass? Its one small image that lets you build up as much grass as you need. The flowers are also a separate image. Makes me look good, or better anyways! :) I also love that there is coordinating dies! Die-namcis Every Day Is a Picnic cuts the cute images out. Popping her up with foam adhesive add so much depth to the card.

And how cute are those little ant images? I used them to create the background by stamping them tone-on-tone. Electric Red cardstock and ink.

I HAD to make a picnic basket to go with the sentiment! I used Die-namics Treat Tote to cut Chocolate Brown cardstock. Woodgrain Background stamped with Chocolate Brown ink created the wood look to the basket. And for a finishing touch, a gingham basket cloth! Primitive White cardstock was stamped with the new background Gingham in Electric Red ink. I trimmed it to size, added slits up the fold to fit over the handles, and bent it over the front.

And why is my picnic basket empty and not filled with some chocolate-y goodness? Sadly, there is none in our house. Before you ask me, who are you and what have you done with Kimberly,? I must tell you it is on purpose. We are working on being healthier and losing weight. Keeping chocolate in the house is not a good plan. The only sweet thing in this house is marshmallows. Truly. Those would look just sad and weird in the picnic basket. :)

Be sure and head over to the MFT Blog and see what everyone else is up to...I just love those ladies that rock the Copics and cannot wait to see what tips they share! And our guest designer is sure to be up to something fab!

The little man and I are off to MN to spend several days with my family now that he is done with school. We cannot wait to be on the lake and just be together!

thanks for stopping by!
