Go-To-Gal Designer Challenge: DCWV

What is a Go-to Gal Designer Challenge you may ask? Once a month the Paper Crafts &Scrapbooking Magazine Go-to Gals will challenge each other to create a project focusing on products from a particular manufacturer. We plan to feature one manufacturer the last Wednesday of each month. Just for fun! This month we are featuring Die Cuts With a View or DCWV!

This is The Cork Stack-Pastels. From the moment I saw it, I was in love. I admit to hoarding. To staring longingly. But it was time to cut it. And make pretty things. As I carefully cut open the package, a bright ray of sunshine appeared, and the choir began to sing as the heavens was SELF-ADHESIVE! Gasp! Oh, the joy! The bliss! Oh, how much faster was this project going to get done! Yes!

Before I had even opened the cork, I wanted to make a small desk set with the cork. Once I saw it was self-adhesive, well, easy peasy! I trimmed each piece of cork to size and applied it to cans I had washed from dinner last night. (The homemade pizza was amazing, by the way.)

The frame has two layers of cork, one larger piece in the back and one piece cut to the exact size of the opening in front. I wanted the cork to be thicker, so I could use thumb tacks. I punched circles from the colored portion of the cork and adhered them to the top of some tacks I had in my office. So cute that they match!

Head on over and check out what these amazing ladies have created. They are just fabulous and I am so lucky to call them friends!

thanks for stopping by!

Kim, I love this idea! I saw this stack before and was on the fence whether I should get it or not. Now, I think I should. :)
