MFT April Release Rewind: Baby Card

Welcome back! Who had fun shopping? Well, if you haven't had the chance, be sure and head over to the MFT Store and check out all the amazing new products being released this month, along with those new Hybrid Inks! Today half the team is sharing fun projects we didn't get to share earlier in the week. Tomorrow, the other half will share. The MFT Blog has all the details.

My sweet baby card started with two pieces of inspiration, both sets of Die-namics. Die-namics Beautiful Baby and Blueprints 14. Blueprints 14 is designed for square cards, which I made here, but man, all the elements are just so fantastic, I will be using this set often. The rounded-corner rectangle was cut from Primitive White cardstock using Blueprints 14. Then I stamped the stripes from Striped Backgrounds in Pink Lemonade Ink, but turned the image to be diagonal. So into diagonal stripes these days. The sentiment is my favorite. How precious is that? Its from Beautiful Baby and I stamped it in the new Hybrid Black Licorice ink. Fantastic coverage for sentiments!

The stitched-looking square in the background is from Die-namics Blueprints 14. The stitching is a fantastic design element to add. The Spearmint cardstock was stamped with Star Background using Spearmint Ink.

Die-namics Beautiful Baby has these darling elephants, one large and one small. From the moment I saw them, I knew they needed to be cut with felt! Sweet Tooth Felt was soft and perfect. I added a die cut Spearmint cardstock button from Die-namics Blueprints 14. Along with a heart from Die-namics Beautiful Baby, stamped with a coordinating heart from Beautiful Baby stamps. The Pink Lemonade scalloped border is also from Die-namics Blueprints 14. See, lots of great uses for that set!

One last touch, these cute tag shapes from Die-namics Blueprints 14. To make them fit (because I had already adhered the other cardstock panel) I simply cut one tag in half and used both sides. The heart is from Beautiful Baby and was stamped in Bubblegum Pink Ink. The Pink Lemonade was just too subtle.

Forgive my unusual photography today, I am going through a photography crisis. I haven't been happy with the quality of my photos, so I am changing things up and getting a permanent lighting set up in my crafty space. This didn't work out too bad, so I may be trying this again.

thanks for stopping by!

What a soft and pretty card! I just adore that you die cut the elephant out of felt! It adds such a nice touch to the card.
