MFT March Release Countdown Day 2: Carrots for your Thoughts

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

Welcome back to the continuing countdown for the MFT March release! I am sooo ready for spring and this release has me excited for warmth and sun and getting back outside! And honestly, chocolate. Anything could get me thinking about chocolate. With all these cute springy products and the cute chocolates available at the stores right now, I have been having fun creating!

This project started off with the sentiment from Pure Innocence I'm All Ears, "a carrot for your thoughts." Because in my candy stash, I had chocolate carrots! These carrots are hazelnut chocolate and measure about 5 inches tall. Even better than the chocolate was the fact that they came in a little white box, all standing up perfectly, and ready to be decorated!

To start, I covered the sides of the box with Gumdrop Green and Sour Apple cardstock that was die cut with Die-namics Tall Grassy Edge. Then I die cut the fence from Die-namics Sunflower Sweetheart from Primitive Cream cardstock. I stamped the darling image from PI I'm All Ears and colored her with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped onto a label shape cut from Blueprints 13. The carrot is from Easter Bunny. (again, the coordination of the all the products in the release is fabulous!)

A couple of you mentioned that you liked when I shared the markers I used on my projects, so I will continue to do so. And I wanted to point out that I also use a Uniball Signo Wide 53 white gel pen to add accents like the polka dots on her dress and other accents.

thanks for stopping by!

This is such a wonderful holiday project. I like how you mixed and matched so many sets, and also how you used the two different colors for the grass. Great project.
