MFT Release Countdown Day 2-Zippers and Cheetahs

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

It just gets better and better for each day of this release, doesn't it? Die-namics Zipper is just waaaay too much fun! I wanted to use it to create something that looked like a sweater. I started by cutting Sweet Tooth felt to the size of my card base and adhering it to the front. I then die cut the zipper image from silver paper. The outside zipper image was cut from more felt. Its very easy to assemble the zipper. Did you see that pull? I love it. But it gets better! There are all sorts of cute zipper pulls in the set! I added a felt flower and leaves to the front for a girly touch.

For the inside, I stamped Simply Fabulous Sayings and added another felt flower and leaves.

Tip: If you don't have the correct color of felt, you can color it with your Copic markers. Its best to use it on a smaller area, like the flower center.

The first time I saw Cheetah Background it happened to be at the same time as I received the Sunny Day Doodles set, Love It. These two images were just made to be together! Anyone else remember the song? Wild thing, you make my heart sing!?!? See? Perfect! Its a sweet Valentine message that is just plain fun.

Head to the MFT Blog. Go. Now. The design team and their ideas for Die-namics Zipper is just wow. Plus, there is always the chance to win a prize!

thanks for stopping by!

P.S. This weekend was amazing and crazy all rolled into one! The little man won the pack award for Best Workmanship on his Pinewood Derby car and won second in his pack for racing. Then we headed to the Sectional swim meet where his 100 medley relay qualified for State! He swims the third leg, which is the Fly. He is on cloud 9 and totally exhausted. We are too. It is truly amazing to watch your children as they get older. The things they accomplish. Their hard work paying off. Watching them become who they will be. What a blessing!

So cute. Love the idea of using felt. Fleece jackets are so popular with the teens and tweens. Great idea.

Love the zipper die done in felt. I'm surprised it cut felt. My MFT dies don't cut craft store felt even with the metal shim. I guess I'm going to have to try some MFT felt. I love the Wild Thing card too.
