MFT January Release Countdown Day One

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete countdown details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

I am always on the look-out for non-candy Valentine's Day treats. Knowing so many families with kiddos that have severe food allergies and having a kiddo that doesn't really like candy, its more fun to give out something that will last. (at least for a few days :))

When I saw the darling sentiment in the new Lisa Johnson Designs stamp set, Wood You Be Mine, I knew exactly what I was going to create! Using some baker's twine, I knotted a friendship bracelet. Boy, did that take me back in time. Summer camp. Teenage years. I guess it was my version of the Rainbow Loom. :)

The sentiment was stamped onto a die cut oval by masking the center images and stamping first in black ink and then going back and using red. PostIt Notes work really well for masking. The background was stamped with the fantastic wood grain heart image. Could it get any better? Be sure and visit the MFT Blog to see all the wood grain images in this set!

Can you stand the anticipation any more? We are sooo close to the new release products being available in the store! In fact, my next post will announce that its time! (Tuesday, January 7 at 9 pm central.) Be sure and use the handy photo supply lists at the bottom of all my posts for your shopping! They will take you directly to the items in the store!

thanks for stopping by!
