Reverse Confetti Blog Hop

Reverse Confetti logo

Can you believe it’s finally here?!! It’s the day you’ve all been waiting for—REVERSE CONFETTI’S VERY FIRST Release Day is today! To get things started, we invite YOU to hop along with the Confetti Crew and a few other talented stampers that are helping us launch this fabulous new stamp company!

Reverse Confetti Dream In Color Crayons by Kimberly Crawford

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Valerie Stangle’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using Reverse Confetti’s first 4 brand new stamp sets! ;)

Reverse Confetti Dream In Color Crayons CU by Kimberly Crawford

Inspired by the In Color Set that has so many cute sayings about color, I wanted pop some serious color off of a dark background. By applying the new Neon Daubers (ink)  from Hero Arts, I was able to achieve that look! What I love about the In Color Set, is all the mediums you can use with these sentiments!

This time, I used In Color and even more mediums-dry embossing and washi tape. See? Endless choices!

I think the washi is pretty obvious, but I loved the embossed clouds in the background! The clouds were punched from thin chipboard, taped to the patterned paper, and then embossed, just as if the chipboard were an embossing folder. Essentially, I made my own embossing folder! And how true is that sentiment?? LOVE it!

If you want more information about the embossing technique, please visit this blog post here Faux Letterpress with Solid Images and watch this video here Faux Letterpress with Solid Images.

Reverse Confetti Peacock Pretties Hello Friend by Kimberly Crawford

My last project today (whew, right?!) is using Peacock Pretties. I had to use gold! Not only is it trendy, but also so perfect for these feather element borders! The border image is the size you see here. It was repeatedly stamped and then heat embossed with gold powder. Each element was colored in with a watercolor marker. (Oh yes, I still have not put down the Tsukineko Memento markers. :))

If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog. Celebrate the creative side of you!
