its a good day for gratitude day 9

Today’s gratitude: Comfort, home, and all the day to day things I take for granted. My cousin, Cammy, is currently serving in the Peace Corps in Moldova. She is so brave and adventurous, and I cannot imagine the situation she is living in. Our family is proud of her and constantly holding her up in our prayers. Through some tough situations God has held her and provided those things which we take for granted-food, warmth, and a safe place to sleep at night. I am so thankful for people like my cousin who are willing to serve others in places far away.

The papers for this card came from Studio Calico’s back40 kit. When I saw the pile of primary colored papers and the journaling spot I had laying on my desk, I knew the little tricycle stamp I had from Unity would be a perfect match! :) Working with primary colors can be tough, so to make these patterns and colors play nice, all the edges were inked.

**FYI: I am teaching classes at All About Pictures in Cedar Rapids, IA. I have monthly Spellbinders and Copic classes, and a few others. If you live in the area and are interested, you can click on the tab at the top of the blog or HERE. **

Sneak peeks for the Mint Motif November release start tomorrow!!!! :)

What are you grateful for today? thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: Papers, etc-Studio Calico (back40 kit), Stamps-Unity (Itty Bitty-Its a Good Day ), Trim (Maya Road-Pleat Ribbon), Twine (Jillibean Soup), Ink-Palette (L’Amour), Ranger (Distressing-Frayed Burlap)

such a cute card!! Makes me smile for sure. Today I am thankful for the power of the mind. You see I cannot have caffeine so switched to decaf coffee years ago but am still "perked up" after a nice warm mug of my favorite drink. And since my 5 year old was up sick all night I am so grateful that my mug of decaf helps give me a little boost to keep pluggin away! LOL seems silly but you know we mommas need to find the goodness in simple things sometimes right!?

Love this card, Kim! I would never have thought to include that Sassafras paper - it's got pink in it, you know! And yet it works.
I am grateful that every day can be a fresh start - this week has been a nightmare in parenting so far.

I am so grateful to be able to pretty much do what I want and when I want since I do not have to work. Very, very grateful. I am grateful that I feel God's presence with me at all times.

If I lived there I would most certainly be there. I too am grateful to your cousin and all who endeavor to make this planet a better and safer place. Today I'm grateful for our men and women in uniform as well.

Keep up the great work...any sneak peeks for us????? Huh????? Please. LOL Okay, guess I have to wait.

Grateful for the safe return home this morning of my husband who spent the night at Denver airport after missing a connecting flight yesterday on his way home from WA state.
