With Love The Petal Press

I am just thrilled to be sharing a peek at the latest stamp set from The Petal Press, designed by Tracy Shultz and available at i{heart}papers.com (starting the 23rd of June). Summer Garden is delicate, pretty and fun to color. Plus, it has a ton of mix and match elements.

With Love The Petal Press CU

The image was colored with Copic markers. The water was colored with BG000, along with the edges. The flower stems were colored with YG11. But, to make the stems look like they are in the water, I went over them with BG000. The flowers were colored with R22, R24, and R27. With the shabby look I was going for, I put some blending solution on a rag and dabbed it over the flowers. With intense colors like these reds, it will bleed outside the lines a bit, but I am ok with that. :)

One more thing to point out, normally, I would have airbrushed the background, but alas, it too, like everything else we own, is in storage. So, I grabbed a Colorbox Chalk ink pad and my favorite stylus tool and went to town. :)

have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
