Pick of the Patch

Another Spellbinders design team project for you. Yes, a little odd to see pumpkins, but the magazines were looking for Halloween at the time this was created! :) (right now I am trying to get into the mood for Valentine's Day! :))
As I was staring at the octagons, I was trying to figure out what on earth I was going to do with them. I mean, come on, all you can think in stop sign. But, after some brainstorming, I thought, pumpkins!
To make them a bit more interesting, I added some texture using the Paisley Impressabilities. The pumkins were cut out using Core'dinations cardstock. This fun paper has a core in a different color, so when you sand it, the other color comes out. PERFECT for using with the Impressabilities!
Take a look at the scalloped border on the bottom, in blue. That was created with the Floral Whimsy Grand Borderabilities. They are 12" dies meant for scrapbook pages, but hey, just cut it to size and it is perfect for cards too!

This is a different project, but I wanted to show you a close up of how I created the stems and leaves. The stem is the smallest Label Trio die and the leaves are the a small scalloped heart that has been folded in half. See how many of your own objects you can make? I LOVE that!! :)
thanks again for stopping by!
