For the first card (above) I used a bunch of the die cuts. LOVED the bird, and there are two of them on the sheet. To make the good friends sentiment, I used rub ons. The center of the pink flowers are velvet brads, which I am a big fan of too!
More of the Bloom and Grow papers. I cut the flowers from a sheet of patterned paper. It killed me to cut it though! :) Its one of those papers that you want to hoarde.
I played with the die cut borders and velvet brads again. I love filling in the scallops with brads and gems.
See the bottom border? I picked up one of the new flat EK Success punches. Fabulous idea. LOVE all the new border designs. This one is called Parisian.
The sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set called, Anytime Messages.
For this card, I used French Flea Market papers. Soft and elegant. The paper was perfect for the "fussy cuttting." I based the design around the journaling card. The sewing machine got a good workout on this one. I think that I am starting to get the hang of my Sew Mini. It is tough to get it to stitch straight, but I am stubborn and will prevail! :)
I hope that you are enjoying a restful weekend. I taught my last (and the store's last) class on Saturday. It was fun, but bittersweet. I also ended my design team time with H&M Stamps and The Cutting Cafe this weekend. To Heather and Regina, thank you for a wonderful time and for letting me work with your fabulous products!!
thanks so much for stopping by!
