New Hero Arts 2009!!!!!

When my boss at the store called me and said that the new Hero Arts was in, you should have seen the smile on my face!!! Its gorgeous. Really gorgeous. All the stamps are fantastic! They have quite a selection of both wood mount and clear stamps. Fantastic! Now I need another job! :)
I stamped the circle onto white cardstock with brown ink. I cut it out with the largest Large Circle Nestabilities. (YAY!) I am not sure if I would use white as a background again, it seems too harsh and almost hard to look at. Bummer, I will have to experiment. :)
I stamped the image again on Ocean Tides cardstock with brown ink and cut the flowers out. The flowers and the butterfly got stamped in watermark ink with none other than my houndstooth backgrounder. (Hero just released a pretty cute one...)
The stems of the flower were colored in with my YG99 Olive Copic. A great match to the Ripe Avocado cardstock, I think.
The background stamp on the Ocean Tides cardstock is another new stamp. Awesome! Once again, I used watermark ink to stamp.
Please check out your LSS for these new stamps or your favorite online retailer!!
We are expecting "a snowstorm on par with some of our larger storms in history," starting today! Yikes! Seriously, the last biggie had 36 inches of snow in less than 24 hours!! Good thing I have new stamps and hot chocolate! :)
thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!

Wishing for it to turn into a Monday snow day so there will be more time to play with stamps, too! I need to work on the New Year's Eve invitations as the year is ticking away. Off to the "madness" at the grocery store to have extra goodies on hand! Thanks once again Kim for your daily dose of inspirations!!!!!

Kim,
LOVE the card, and the peek at what to expect from Hero next year. Can hardly wait to see more. I am with you on the white, I think you should try it with PTI Kraft paper next time. But still the card is a stunner, a real natural feel to it.
As for the snow, we are getting a ton here in Vancouver, BC too! We are to be in the chill right up until Christmas; when guess what the wet coast expects RAIN! Typical!
Enjoy your snow days, and new stamps!
