Warm Winter Wishes

I had to try this Tin Tile Technique from MelStampz! Glue a piece of aluminum foil onto a piece of cardstock. Run them through your Cuttlebug. Then paint with white acrylic paint and voila-gorgeousness!!! I would recommend an adhesive that completely covers the cardstock, so that your corners don't peel up.
The star is a clear, acrylic star that was colored yellow with alcohol inks. I used my piercer to punch two small holes into it, allowing me to thread the jute through it and the button.
Cardstock-Papertrey Ink (white, kraft), Bazzill (black)
Patterned paper-October Afternoon
Stamps-Snowangel (Inky Antics), Sentiment (Stampendous), Branches (Art Warehouse)
Ink-Memories (black)
Ribbon-Offray, May Arts
Button, Paint-Making Memories
Acrylic Star-Heidi Swapp
Tools-Nestabilities, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Prisma color pencils, Alcohol Inks (Ranger)

Not sure if I am loving the card, but after placing and replacing everything for 2 days, eh, just glue it down! :) Our weekend was fun-we took the little man on a real train ride. It was my first train ride too! The train runs along the shore of Lake Superior. They hooked all sorts of train cars up to the engine so you could walk between them. (baggage, dinner, passenger, double-decker, bud car) The coolest thing was taking a photo of my son and my dad in front of the engine. It was a DM&IR engine. Reason it was special is because, my grandfather was an electrical engineer for the railroad. My dad grew up in the intersection of 3 rail lines. My grandfather never met my son, but part of him lives on in my son's love of trains. We all cried. Oh those happy/sad moments that make life meaningful. thanks for stopping by!
